Millions of women worldwide were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many lost their jobs and took on unpaid roles, yet the lack of data prevents us from really knowing what the impact was. Therefore, it is important to make greater efforts to support national statistical offices, as continuous data collection allows for better decision-making for the benefit of millions of women in the Global South.
