Luisa´s career had centered on incubating and strengthen partnerships across sectors–international cooperation, private sector and nonprofit– to serve communities in low- and middle-income countries. She also has substantial experience designing, leading, and implementing a broad range of full cycle grant management, fundraising, and resource development programs for implementing organizations.

At TECHO U.S. her work centered on strategy development and resource generation for building on the work of the more than one million volunteers mobilized by the NGO, and working in partnership with multinational corporations and informal settlements residents in 17 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to TECHO, she served a rising career at InterAction in Washington DC. At this alliance of U.S.-based international NGOs doing development and humanitarian relief, she managed their Business Council and Private Sector Working Group, a training series for executives and a nascent portfolio on innovative finance for development.

Before coming to the United States, she played different roles in the ideation and implementation of private and public social programs. Luisa received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in her hometown of Bogotá, Colombia, and her master’s degree in international and public affairs from the School of International Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University in New York. Besides her work, travel, jogging, golfing and reading fill her with purpose.
